This Cookie policy has been drawn up in accordance with Article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD) and the Guide on the use of cookies of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

2. What are cookies and what are they used for?

A cookie is a small text file that a website sends to the user’s browser and that is stored on their device (computer, mobile phone, tablet). Each time the user visits the site again, the browser sends that cookie back, allowing the website to recognise the device and retrieve previously stored information.

Cookies perform general functions such as: enabling browsing and the technical operation of the site (for example, keeping a session open or remembering the contents of a shopping cart), remembering the user’s preferences (language, region), statistically measuring how the site is used in order to improve it, or displaying advertising tailored to the user’s interests. Cookies cannot damage the device or run programs.

For the purposes of this policy, the term “cookies” also includes similar technologies that store or retrieve information from the device (pixels, web beacons, browser local storage, device identifiers).

3. Types of cookies used by this Website and purpose of each type

3.1 According to the entity that manages them

  • First-party cookies: sent to the user’s device from equipment or a domain managed by the owner of the Website and from which the requested service is provided. Purpose: technical operation of the Website and remembering the user’s cookie consent.
  • Third-party cookies: sent to the user’s device from equipment or a domain not managed by the owner, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies. Purpose: statistical measurement (identified in section 4).

3.2 According to their purpose

  • Technical or necessary cookies: allow browsing the Website and using its basic functions (traffic control, session identification, security and prevention of fraud and spam, storing the cookie decision). They do not require consent.
  • Analytics or measurement cookies: allow the number of users to be quantified and browsing to be statistically analysed in order to improve the Website (most visited pages, source of visits, device). They require consent.

3.3 According to how long they remain active

  • Session cookies: collect and store data while the user is browsing and are deleted when the browser is closed.
  • Persistent cookies: remain stored on the device for the period defined by the party responsible for the cookie (from a few minutes to several years) or until the user deletes them. The specific duration is indicated in sections 4, 5 and 9.

This Website uses first-party technical cookies and, only if the user accepts them, third-party analytics cookies.

4. Who uses non-technical cookies and for how long

The following table identifies, by type, the entity that uses the non-technical cookies on this Website, their specific purpose and their retention period. None of them is installed until the user accepts them.

Type Who uses it Cookies (examples) Specific purpose Retention period
Analytics / measurement (third-party) Google Analytics 4 — Google Ireland Ltd. (Gordon House, Barrow St, Dublin 4, Ireland) / Google LLC _ga, _ga_*, _gid Counting visits and sessions, distinguishing users, measuring which pages are viewed and from which source, in aggregate form, in order to improve the Website. _ga and _ga_*: 2 years · _gid: 24 hours

Technical cookies (those of the content management system and the consent tool, and the security cookies of the hosting provider) do not require consent; they are nevertheless listed, with their duration, in the table in section 9.

5. Cookie retention period

  • Technical session cookies (e.g. PHPSESSID, wordpress_test_cookie): deleted when the browser is closed or, at most, after 24 hours.
  • Consent cookie (cookiehub, first-party): 12 months. Stores the user’s cookie decision so that they are not asked again on every visit.
  • Security cookies of the hosting provider / CDN (e.g. __cf_bm, Cloudflare): 30 minutes.
  • Non-technical cookies: those indicated in section 4 (between 24 hours and 2 years). Once the period has elapsed, or when the user withdraws consent, they are no longer used.

The consent given by the user is kept for a maximum of 12 months, after which it will be requested again. The exact duration of each specific cookie is shown in the table in section 9.

6. How to accept, refuse or withdraw consent at any time

6.1 On the first visit: the cookie panel

When accessing the Website for the first time, a cookie settings panel (banner) is displayed which allows, with the same ease and on the same screen:

  • Accepting all cookies.
  • Rejecting all non-necessary cookies. If they are rejected, no analytics or third-party cookies are installed.
  • Configuring cookies by category, enabling or disabling each of them.

Until the user expressly accepts, only the technical cookies necessary for the operation of the Website are installed. Closing the banner without choosing an option or continuing to browse is not considered acceptance.

6.2 At any later time: withdrawing or changing consent

The user may withdraw or change their consent at any time, as easily as it was given, by any of the following means:

  • Clicking the floating cookie icon that is permanently displayed in the bottom corner of every page of the Website.
  • Clicking the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of the Website.
  • Deleting or blocking cookies from the browser settings (see section 7).

When consent is withdrawn, non-necessary cookies are no longer used and those under the owner’s control are deleted. Third-party cookies already installed may need to be deleted from the browser.

7. How to manage cookies from the browser

All browsers allow installed cookies to be blocked or deleted, and alerts to be set up before they are installed. If all cookies are blocked, some functions of the Website may not be available. Instructions for the most common browsers:

Most browsers also offer a private or incognito browsing mode in which cookies are deleted when the window is closed.

8. Third-party cookies, international transfers and profiling

Third parties that install cookies through this Website process data in accordance with their own privacy policies, which the user can consult at the following links:

International transfers: some of these providers (in particular Google LLC) are based in the United States and may process data outside the European Economic Area. These transfers are covered by the European Commission’s adequacy decision on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, where applicable, by the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. The owner does not carry out international data transfers herself.

Profiling: analytics cookies are used in aggregate form and do not allow the owner to identify the user. This Website does not use advertising cookies. The owner does not make automated decisions with legal effects on the user based on cookies.

9. Detailed list of cookies (automatically updated)

The following table, generated from periodic scans of the Website, details each specific cookie: name, provider (first-party or third-party), category, purpose and retention period.

If the table is not displayed because your browser blocks scripts, the information by type is shown in section 4 and you can consult the details in the cookie settings panel (floating icon or “Cookie settings” link in the footer).

10. Further information and rights

For more information on the processing of your personal data and on how to exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, please consult our Privacy policy.
